The bowling adventure today was a little rough. After reaching out to my usual centers for open bowling, I ended up at Crest Hill Lanes. I haven't bowled at Crest Hill Lanes in quite some time, so it seemed like a great idea. Unfortunately, some ideas do not go as planned. The lanes felt either burnt or "plastic ballified." Typically, burnt lanes follow a pattern in which you hit your mark consistently, but have to quickly adjust left to keep yourself in the 1-3 pocket. When lanes are "plastic ballified", the oil is much more unpredictable. You might hit your mark consistently, but get different results. Today it felt like the later. My speed and accuracy felt great, but I couldn't find a place on the lane to call home. Oh well, you live, you learn.
