The No Rules Pearl is an excellent ball for patterns where there is either a fair amount of oil volume or the pattern has some length. I choose this as my second ball in my arsenal for a couple of reasons.
- It is an excellent ball that is well reviewed by bowlers of all types
- The ball is able to handle a good portion of oil
- The ball has a good reaction on longer patterns.
This ball is a perfect match to my Phaze II, which tends to read more, rather than skid-snap of the breakpoint. I am able to easily transition between these in order to find a solid look on most pattern types. The initial layout of the NRP was fairly conventional and standard, giving it a modest amount of control along with the reaction I was looking for. After meeting Rich at Player's Corner, we decided to redrill this ball in order to match my new pitch within my other balls. Additionally, the mass bias was kicked out, giving the ball extra power off the spot. I have provided new pictures within the gallery to allow for a compare and contrast between drillings.
