The House Shot is what is laid down within a center by default, hence "house shot". Of course no two houses are the same, so it may vary. The graphic is shown as an illustration.
Welcome to the last score report of open practice bowling for the spring season. I will be taking off next week in order to relax before I start the Sport Experience league at Fox Bowl. That being said, let's talk briefly about tonight's outing.
Game 1: The lanes were stable with no significant transition occurring. I primarily used the No Rules Pearl standing roughly center to slightly left throwing out to about 10.
Game 2: The lanes went through a heavy transition, starting the breakdown process. I started with the No Rules Pearl but finished with the Phaze II due to the lanes burning up. Three opens held me back: 7 pin, 3-6-9-10 and a 4-7-10.
Game 3: Used the Phaze II, moving slightly right and using more speed to take the lane out of the equation.
The bowling adventure today was a little rough. After reaching out to my usual centers for open bowling, I ended up at Crest Hill Lanes. I haven't bowled at Crest Hill Lanes in quite some time, so it seemed like a great idea. Unfortunately, some ideas do not go as planned. The lanes felt either burnt or "plastic ballified." Typically, burnt lanes follow a pattern in which you hit your mark consistently, but have to quickly adjust left to keep yourself in the 1-3 pocket. When lanes are "plastic ballified", the oil is much more unpredictable.
